I have been working at Chesapeake Energy

This is a new Chesapeake. The days of old, running and gunning are over. That's not a bad thing. The company is in a healthy situation for a sustainable future. The new PTO policy gives most folks 4 weeks off or more. Salary and bonuses are fair. Oklahoma City offices definitely get the larger share of perks as compared to field offices.

The performance management system doesn't really reward folks for meeting their personal goals....which leaves bonus payout attributable to the main corporate goals. The bonus structure needs to be adjusted such that Business Unit level goals are part of the overall payout to motivate employees even better.
