I worked at Children Of America

    Pros

Children of America is a very new and clean school and it seems like management will keep up with the maintenance of the school. They also provide sufficient money for supplies including lunch and snacks and materials for the classroom. It is definitely a good place for a new teacher just out of college to get their first experience while they are looking for better employment. It is also an excellent place to work if you have a young child. Although they charge a good bit for your child to attend the school, you will at least be close to your child while you are working.

    Cons

Low salary, with a lot of expectations
no concern about personal life, directors work alot of hours--more than 50 hours some wks
if there is too much staff, they will send you home---don't guarantee you a forty hour work week
no feedback about job performance---never got reviewed the year that I worked there
didn't know when and if you would get a raise--girls that were there a year didn't get a raise--maybe at 18 months
benefits especially health care were horrible
management was horrible but within the centers and corporate management
had to deal with crazy parents
management didn't always support you when you had a child that had issues

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Wake up and smell the coffee about what is going on at your centers especially with management
