I worked at Children's Health Council full-time for less than a year

Great mission. Seeing positive change in kids was uplifting.

The executive team is weak and lacking in business experience, e.g., the ability to create a sustainable business model. As a result, clinical services and service providers suffer, while an emphasis is placed on marketing to HNWI and fundraising. Staff is underpaid (wages were frozen while I was there) and unappreciated; everyone is considered replaceable, which leads to a very high rate of turnover.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on improving services and lowering costs for under-resourced families. Reward valuable employees and provide more opportunities for professional development.
