Current Employee - Trader in Chicago, IL

I have been working at Chopper Trading full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Good Perks (tickets to sports events, company annual dinner, gold outing, weekly lunch)
    - Laid-back environment
    - Friendly environment and Nice people

    Cons

    - No time off while still a Trading Assistant (which lasts for 2 years)
    - No learning whatsoever
    - Mediocre technology and very basic strategies
    - Terrible experience working on Nights

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Work on improving the strategies and make trading more educated/standardized based on events instead of randomly buy and selling spreads and hope for reverting at one point
    - Work on developing the people and cutting off the bad traders
    - Seriously, improve the useless technology which is almost non-existent
