Great people and great technologies with lots of energetic team oriented selling. Lots of great solutions to work with to solve many customer problems, especially over a long term relationship.
Sales is always full of pressure but there was far too much emphasis on getting the dollars now vs. building a long term relationship with the customers. You don't call the customer every three hours on month end or quarter end day asking where my PO is? After a while, customers knew that Cisco only cared about their pockets and only as long as the customer had money to spend.
Advice to Management
buy in to the customer, invest time even if you know they can't spend a million dollars with you this year, because in healthcare, it may take a few years to build the relationship, that brings you five million in one year. Unfortunately Arizona/West coast commercial management didn't believe in this philosophy.
