    I have been working at Citi full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    I have been with Cit for 19 years and it has provided me with a wealth of knowledge and upward mobility as I have moved up the latter with 7 promotions and attained a 6 figure income in Technology and Operations. The company is such a large global operation that you get exposure to a vast array of functions with experts in every area of a large corporate entity. 401k matching, some bonuses for approximately the top 20% of of employees in performance ranking in most functional areas.

    Cons

    Citi is too large to manage effectively when it comes down to what matters most "Customer Service". This isn't opinion it is simply the facts based on Citi's (and other large banks) customer survey results. Citi still hasn't recovered from the economic collapse in 2008 and we feel it as employees from perks and opportunities that were once bountiful. With a company this large, although senior leadership tries desperately to push programs that change/enhance the global culture to "do what's best for the client", we simply have not moved the needle much over the last 5+ years. It wears it's employees down to think we are working grueling hours and working with sharp/dedicated colleagues and we never feel like the company bottom line is getting much better.

    Advice to Management

    Do whatever it take to get this company to a best in class products and service company, everything else should be second priority.
