I have been working at Citi

Citi does very well to invest in its juniors, and there's a focus on retaining some for eventual promotion. Some other firms 100% assume that as an analyst, you're not going to stay and therefore will not invest in you as heavilty (e.g. client exposure). Most banks on the Street, Citi included, however, are supportive or their analyst recruiting after their 2-year program.

Despite its excellent training for analysts, Citi has had some trouble with managing its brand, especially with how much change the organization has gone through in the past several years following the collapse. Pay traditionally has lagged behind the street, but recently there has been some effort to match the street.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay more attention to maintaining and promoting a sustainable franchise that is not solely focused on short term gains.
