I have been working at Citibank

Recently have gone from temp to permanent staff employee. It took me 6 months. Some reviews are claiming that you have to work 80 hours a week and work 150 cases..a day! I'm not sure where these people are getting their info from, but we definitely do not work 150 cases a day. I will admit, there were a few weeks WHEN I WAS FIRST BEGINNING were I worked 60-62 hours in a week, but that was in order to train myself, and practice more on becoming a good analyst. If I ever worked overtime it was indeed to stay on par with my case load, but after some time on the floor, I stopped working overtime. Not because I couldn't, but because I didn't need to. They're some analysts that work overtime, but that's because they're not very good or because they're how I was starting out; they want to better themselves. Also, I'm not sure where people are getting off by stating we don't get overtime?? I got paid time and a half for ALL overtime I worked. I actually loved those weeks when I worked overtime because my paychecks were so huge come the following week. It baffles me at how many negative reviews people have left, which ultimately scare people away from the job, or frighten people new to the job. To those of you who have actually read this whole review, and are starting/debating on taking the job, go for it! It's a great job and very rewarding. I love my job and glad that I ignored all the terrible other reviews that are on this website. The negative reviews are probably from people who only give 50% effort or were just terrible at their job. Just remember, anything worth doing is worth overdoing.

The whole Anti-Money Laundering division is at a bit of a re-structuring process right now so things are a bit all over the place. But hey, it keeps things interesting!
