I worked at Citizens Bank as a contractor (Less than a year)
Benefits, Nice co workers, Pay rate is high
Politics in the office, Favoritism, Contract employees and temps are treated like second class employees, and they do not care about an employee genuinely being sick even though they have a doctor excuse they still will end your contract assignment without warning and then just mail your personal stuff from your desk even if you did a good job for them and went through three weeks of training in one week.
Advice to Management
Realize that even temps and contract employees should be treated with the same respect offerred your ful time employees in terms of fairness. Also realize that when you have a New York staffing agency recruit candidates for you that didn't even apply for the position that miscommunications occur in regards to hours, pay times, and calling in sic gets lost in translation. Quit treating good candidates as if they are just a bottem line just because they are temps and you have nothing to lose they do, they probably blew off full time positions cause they didn't want to burn bridges with your company and realize you have to at least tell them yourself that you are ending an assignment as the staffing agencies that you are using are just informing workers with an email.
