-Great leadership experience: I felt that as a Corps Members I was thrown into many situations that tested my skills and led me to become more aware of my strengths and challenges as a professional -Teamwork dynamics: This may vary from team to team, but I was grateful for being placed on a team where each CM's input was valued and where job duties were equally distributed, for the most part -Work with students: While there were indeed stressful moments, I valued the relationships I fostered with my students, and by the end of the year, seeing the progress that they had made was truly a beautiful thing

-Long work hours, high stress, and minimum compensation: Well, it is an AmeriCorps position, so you get what you signed up for. The Segal grant and EBT benefits are worthy to note, tho. You will learn to budget during your City Year, that's for sure -Disconnect across management ladder: I felt the staff could improve in executing how to roll out new initiatives throughout the year, and what expectations should be communicated
