I worked at City of Redondo Beach

    Pros

Job security. Pension. Great benefits. That's all I can think of.

    Cons

Apart from the firefighters and paramedics who risk life and limb for the residents, employee complacency exists across the board. Lazy workers: all of them. This place is a total time warp. I found citizen information materials dating back to 1993 stuffed in filing cabinets. Who let this stuff fester collecting dust all these years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please get rid of the older workers by encouraging them to retire. Bring in fresh talent that can carry projects forward in a timely fashion. So many people are just sitting there waiting to turn 55 so that they can retire. These people are literally watching the clock tick by. How sad is that? Hire some young people already, will ya?
