    I worked at Classic Party Rentals full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    The company has a lot of potential. There are huge advantages behind being the largest rental company in the business. The ability to service national accounts can not be matched.

    Cons

    There is no real internal direction. To many projects trying to be completed at once, without a
    plan, priority or clear understanding of the issues faced by the local stores. Employees from installers and warehouse staff to management and administration are thrown into a chaotic industry with little support and no training or clear expectations other then grow and do more. Lots of management talk lip service with no real action for improving the issues. Employee morale is really bad most times, as employees go from no hours and no money to working 16 hour days 25 days straight back to no work. All while getting beat up and told to do more for less and little potential for advancement; plus fear of being laid off at any moment in the slow season.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Stop growing the business until you get a grip on the procedural and training issues from the very bottom. You are trying to increase revenue with a seasonal employment staff and no training programs. Stop burning bridges with good employees and create programs to show appreciation to your Operations team not just your sales team.
