    I worked at Clinique part-time (more than 3 years)


    Great company, regular training, strong management. Job stability for many of my colleagues. Accreditation for seasoned associates. Pretty cool sales contests through the years too!


    Very little chance of upward growth if you don't open enough Macy's credit cards. Some of the staff who had been there longer were favored for specific shifts and given favoritism. Managers were strong at running the counter but didn't always know how to coach and develop a team. There was very little development given at the counter and few opportunities to be trained in anything operational. Very low or no raises based mainly on credits opened.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Develop your managers! If you find people who want to grow with the company, give them chances to lead and take on more responsibility.
