Good company overall but a GREAT place to work if you're one of the "in" employees

I worked at Clorox full-time (more than 8 years)

People are fantastic across the functions, categories and levels. I spent many years at Clorox across many job functions and was proud to call many of my peers, my friends. I truly liked and respected most of the people I worked with regardless of the job title or division or level. The CEO is well respected and liked - the kind of leader than inspires people to do their best, be their best. Great work/life balance. Great compensation

Management often doesn't want the truth - they want life at Clorox to be a happy, content place and sharing concerns, problems is frowned upon by both HR and Senior Management. If you liked High school and the cliques that go along with that culture, you'll love the Clorox environment. You're either "in" or you are clearly" out and this is not based on talent or results but on your style, how you dress, what you like to do after work, how you socialize. Think "mean girls" and you'll get a feel for the culture. Managers also give ratings and thus, salary compensation to the more popular employees. Again, think of the cheerleaders & QB at your high school. Similar environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen. Manage more consistently. Really evaluate the engagement survey results and review by function, team and location. There are great things going on you never hear about (the less popular folks results) and there are terrible things going on everyday that no one wants to hear about. Ask the tough questions - of everyone. And ask their staff.

    Positive Outlook
    Approves of CEO
