    I worked at Cogeco Cable full-time (more than 8 years)

    You are not a person at Cogeco, regardless of how long you are there. Promotions, bonuses and raises are determined by mathematical formulas based with many factors weighed in, primarily AHT or Average Handle time for calls, You are not a person to them, you are a math formula.

    They are very strict about a 6 min per call Average Handle time. Too long, you could get fired, the shorter it is, the better. This of course promotes sloppy Technical Support and Sales, usually requiring customers to call back several times to get issues addressed.

    Work-Life balance: Out of whack, you have to be available when they want you which means if you are part time, there is no guarantee of minimum hours. Forget about a 2nd job, they will schedule you so randomly, it makes that impossible. Even Full timers get bounced around in the schedule. They do not want anyone to be able to moonlight on a 2nd job, they want you dependent on them only.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Treat people as people. Renounce the AHT gods, your customers might thank you for it.
