    I have been working at Cognizant Technology Solutions full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

    CTS have very good Senior management and Leadership with real passion. And its the only thing drives this company to success.

    IF you are in middle level management don't have morals or any technical knowledge, you can survive here easily just doing politics and will get your GC faster.

    CTS is open for everyone, It's a myth if someone says its favorable for Tamilians. CTS culture is truly professional place to work no matter which language you speak.

    Cons

    CTS vertical team managers are all mostly college recruits from 2000s era and they are like chickens raised inside a Farm because lack of their experience. CTS HR will not help you in Conflicts with management, there is no 360 degree feedback, so you need to go out of your way to report incidents to senior management.

    Middle level managers rule associates and Leads/supervisors as they wish, and making sure none gets promotion.
    If you move from one Project to another your promotion will be delayed for next 2years where other associates would have already moved on to next role.

    No Growth for Lateral recruits, unless they keep bugging for promotions where internal recruits get promotion every 2years and will be given opportunity to own project cost. Laterals who are professional project managers are dumped more often by these Farmed chickens.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Identify and Promote people truly based on their Technical and Professional skills.
    Track patterns of Middle level managers who abuse the Appraisal system/ Recruitment based on personal preferences like Language/Religion/ Caste( Brahmins).

    To develop a system for 360 degree feedback and takes corrective actions instantly, And Go Probe for the problems / issues before they get you. Because lot of these middle-level managers know how to getaway from incidents and they keep doing it again and again.
