Commission structure, 16% of spread when over 20% profit can be very lucrative. As a carrier rep it was a very short sales cycle to make anywhere from $10-$400 on a single load. Dress code was relaxed. Management wasn't too in your face and depending on who your manager is they can be useful. Overall positive
Company was sold.... not sure what the future holds for those who's positions have become redundant.
7-5 everyday, day in day out. No need to be anywhere but in the office. Open floor layout when you stare at those you compete with for money can become dreadful. Extremely tight restrictions on which businesses we can work with. Managers can be awfully comfortable and simply micro-manage the group instead of actually being a "sales" manager. Location (Skokie, IL), isn't the worst but still not ideal.
Advice to Management
None, they made their money.
