    I worked at Community Counseling Centers of Chicago full-time (more than an year)


    The services and offerings to the community are extremely positive. Co-workers are friendly and supervisors were supportive and knowledgeable. This is a great place for an intern or beginning therapist to learn and grow under great supervision.


    Advanced technology was limited and lack of a working computer or phone sometimes impacted the ability to complete work. Direct service hours are monitored for paid staff and meeting those metrics can sometimes be difficult, as client cancellations affect those hours. Working with such a needy population, cancellations are a regular occurrence.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Consider the impact of strictly enforced DST hours vs. quality services. I understand that billable hours are needed to maintain the budget, however some therapists had to go to extreme measures to meet these requirements due to factors outside of their control.
