Former Employee - Field Services Technician

I worked at CompuCom full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Good experience, co-workers, online documentation, training.

    Cons

Fairly good start up company. But, once your Direct Full-time employee there is no assurance that you will be staying. I lasted more as a contract than direct. They "Arranged business to comply with Customer satisfaction" and laid-off all new hire and some managers. They give you hopes for a stable career...it isn't.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be very selective with the employees you keep. You all are not taking in consideration employees. Your are staying with the employees that customers don't like and are no good for your business. For example: In the area I worked, I was the one taking the longest distances to stores no one wanted to go. Also, when I covered up on "easy" store for the "more experienced tech", people always complaint about his job. Manager got the feedback from customers. Nothing happened... just you laid-off the tech that complied with all your training, rules and all customer were satisfied with...
For this, no matter how many accounts the company gets, it will be known for its reputation. Meaning: company will collapse as it just did. So desperate to find accounts that later the customer won't renew after taking in more employees to kick them. They will be paying for a premium they will not get.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
