I have been working at Conductix-Wampfler full-time (more than 5 years)

You get to learn almost everything. Good training due to that Evergreen is so lean and that they expect employees to do a lot of cross-training. Definitely, good place to learn almost every facet of shipping.

Due to the corporate culture, Evergreen will NOT invest into its employees well being, for example having desks and chairs from 20+years ago. Almost a standard that employees will sell their vacation to the company - many have not taken vacation in years (some almost 20+ years no vacation). Possibilities of advancement are limited UNLESS you are from Taiwain and were on a ship for years. So, the career ladder is very narrow and not much to consider

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Good company to learn shipping and the basics - however there is no future in the company as it has fired and closed offices to relocate to Salt Lake City, UT -- which is very far from the nearest port. For those interested in shipping and port logistics -- often people come from communities near to the sea NOT from the desert or mountains.
