On the surface it seems like a great place to work - the dysfunction is not apparent until you are there for a while.

    Pros

Interesting domain. Interesting technology - lots of room for developing new and improved software. Massages. Healthy focus. Lots of nice team members.

    Cons

Office culture is somewhat of a "bullying" environment. They have a very hard time developing people - don't know what to do with real leaders, especially forward thinking or visionary ones. Lots of opportunities for collaborative and forward thinking are squashed by middle management who are afraid to take risk and have no idea how to support a leader that has vision.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You just lost a CEO that was a visionary and in my opinion he couldn't move the company forward due to his team of mid managers' lack of vision. Get a leader back that can build a culture and flush out what I would call "stinkin' thinking" in the middle - build a culture that fosters creative thinking and vision.
