If you need a job, they will hire you, train you......kind of, and put you to work. At a good branch location, if you are able to stand up to the cutthroats and "stab you in the back" employees that already work there without getting fired for threatening to break their leg etc, you can earn an ok paycheck. Depending on what you think is good, you may even say it's a good living.

Ah, the con's. There is no life outside of Conn's. You may, if you are lucky, get two days off consecutively. But even if you do, remember this is retail so they definitely won't be on a weekend. They go through managers like crazy so chances to have a good one are slim to none. You really need to "buy in" to the program. Conn's makes their money off of product warranty. They sell it on everything and will expect you to sell a certain percentage to meet your quota. Also, selling insurance is big as well. Remember, you are expected to sell a certain percentage of all of the extra's that actually makes Conn's money or you will be punished by being made to clean the warehouse, or be taken off the floor. I'm not sure how they get by the wage an hour law as they call you a commission salesperson, but require you to do things that are not commission salesperson responsibility. There IS a proven method, so if you're looking to hire on, be sure to follow the top producer around and learn what they do. Then do it. It really works, but after a sale, I always felt like I mislead the customer. And I don't care what they say, misleading the customer is exactly what they do. If you told the truth every single time, you would NOT make your quota. So..........are you a liar?

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Absolutely no good will come of this. Management already knows a lot more than what I just shared and it all comes down to their paycheck. They will NOT mess that up if they can help it. My advice is to the employees under the management. Work the program and be smarter than the system.
