I worked at Control Point full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Some of the people are wonderful.

    Cons

Lots of stress, poor project management, management does not listen to employees, no career path. In the time there, I saw employees who we're attempting to a do the correct job, be ignored, not communicated with, told not to talk with customers even though that was part of their job. Those who couldn't do the job were listened to. The writing was on the wall as employee retention is non-existent, business started drying up, and customers started to question the work being performed. As I was leaving I saw the company chose to let a quality worker go, and actively keep an inferior worker because that worker didn't question management, didn't have a creative idea which countered what an out-of-date management person held as golden. Wonder why business is drying up.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop ignoring issues which employees bring to you. Empower the employees to take on tasks rather micro managing all their efforts. Quit promising things to employees and never following thru. Bad choices by management constantly create unnecessary crisis and stress which get passed onto the employees because they refused to own the issues and the decisions. Try communicating with the employees rather than ignoring them. Everything is a surprise to employees as management doesn't involve employees and this is a small company. I worked for larger companies which involved employees better and communicated more and effectively
