    I worked at Convergence Marketing

    Pros

pros as working part - time for Convergence was the flexibility of being able to accept or decline projects and most project gave a flexible window of time to complete instead of a specific hard date. However I found out that once you accepted the project assignment that was not always the case, which would leave no Pros for this company for me based on my own personal experience. Convergence has many different projects/teams so others experience may be different.

    Cons

cons of working for Convergence Marketing that I experience was the newly developed team that I was on was very disorganized, I had at least 7 different Convergence personnel leaders giving directive, some of which was conflicting. Convergence sent me on projects to stores that had been closed or to new stores that had not yet opened and then refusing to pay me for any mileage or time I spent in travel or additional time and expenses that I incurred on the project while following the misinformation provided to me by THEM, Convergence. Project due dates changed multiple times and in one case a store project was moved up by a week ending up having to be completed the very next morning. I was provided with less than a 12 hr notice, I was notified at 7:30pm. I was not able to accommodate the "COMPANY'S" changes in the project due to the late notice and a prior commitment but Convergence still expected me to drive an HOUR & HALF to the store to transfer project materials without giving any compensation for my mileage or travel time to do so. After explaining to my mgr that it was not possible for me to incur 3 hrs in travel time and wear and tear on my vehicle without compensation, but that I more than happy to make sure the project materials were available to her by leaving the materials on the front porch and she or the rep were welcome to come and pick them up, She said it wasn't her job! (like it was mine??) however I did feel sorry for the rep because I know how I would feel if I were in their shoes and I faxed over the project material that could be so they could at least meet some of the objectives and they would then be able to be partially compensated for their time.
They also hire employees with no experience and do not provide adequate training, if any, which has given the company a bad name in the field and can be very frustrating if you get stuck working on a team set with them.
I had completed many hrs of work for Convergence that I was never paid for.
I would not recommend Convergence based on my personal experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Respect your employees.
Fairly compensate employees for all their in-store time, mileage & travel time, and expenses incurred while completing company work.
To stop taking advantage of the need to work era.
If your going to hire employees with no or limited experience provide adequate training for them.
Develop more organized teams. Do not know if its company wide but on the newly developed team I was on there were too many chiefs....the right hand did not know what the left hand was doing which caused a lot of miscommunication and misinformation.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
