I worked at County College of Morris as a contractor (Less than a year)
You have a lot of autonomy, compensation as a adjunct professor is a joke but benefits are very good for this kind of a position.
If you are working on contract hoping you will be offered a permanent position after while, forget it. CCM is saving money hiring long time adjuncts instead of cultivating someone to become permanent.
Advice to Management
Maybe is worth considering to keep adjunct professors close and offer them some perspective. Then you will not be forced to look desperately for someone new to teach the class every semester. Also, the quality of lectures will be better if you offer permanent positions.
