I worked at Covenant Transportation part-time (less than a year)

Covenant has good co-workers, fellow fleet managers were terrific and very helpful. They were willing to help you improve yourself.

I was hired on last year as a temp (by Aerotek) with a promise that I would be hired on in three months after my hire date. Once my third month hit, I asked my boss and other bosses involved in the hiring process to see where I stood in being hired. After a week of hearing "I have not heard anything..." I finally had a sit down with my bosses. I was then advised to give it a couple of weeks and they will have a decision. I respected this and was willing to wait a couple more weeks to finally find out my fate. Finally, once my forth month hit (still not hired on) my boss advised me that there were no plans to hire me on full time. I then decided it was in my best interest to move on.

I wanted to post this because I don't want someone going through what I went through. The job is extremely stressful added onto going through week after week for four months wondering if you are going to have a job or not added to that stress. I feel I was done unfairly and that I was used. Please, think twice before joining Covenant. Especially, if you have a family.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communicate with your temp employees. Keep your promises and be truthful during the interview process. Being a temp creates a lot of added pressure and just some reassurance will help keep morale.
