    I have been working at Cpsi

    Pros

    The best reasons are the small percentage of employees that acutally still care about the company and its future.

    Cons

    Disorganization
    Constant departmental restructuring without solving internal issues
    Upper Mgmt nowhere to be seen
    Middle Mgmt rules by fear
    Eventual takeover by owner's son who also rules by fear
    Politics and bureaucracy
    Good ole' boy system
    Overall cluelessness of mgmt regarding issues that employees are facing
    Poorest documentation on planet
    Poor education and training
    Terrible customer support
    Incompetent Human Resources
    Outdated systems both internal and enduser
    Clobbering above average employees for company/mgmt issues
    Letting noncontributors continue
    Allowing some mgmt to get away with not giving written reviews to employees
    No employee reviews of mgmt
    No standard protocol for employee reviews
    Above average employees having to cover for the huge turnaround

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Your employees want to help! Take a look around and gather up the ones that are proven to care. Ask them what's wrong and they will tell you. They don't expect huge raises or promotions, just a competent work environment to thrive in so they can help the customers. Let the employees evaluate their mangers, directors and VPs sometime. The answers you recieve will give you a clear picture of who will take your company to the next level and who will not.
