Behind on its competitors. Ugly stuff underneath the surface.

I have been working at Curriculum Associates full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

A few genuinely professional and bright workers, a few decent pieces of in-house technology. Also, good company benefits.

    Cons

    - I have never, ever worked for a place that had so much ugly back-stabbing and tattle-taling going on behind the scenes. What looks really professional on the surface is covering up some shocking unprofessional (to use a nice word) actions underneath. People get terminated abruptly when they catch on to what's going on, and are forced to sign contracts upon exit stating that they can't sue or even speak badly about things
    - The technology of their product is ridiculously out of date, and much better alternatives from other companies exist that do the same thing and do it better. I hope other schools research this and go with somebody else.
    - I've also never seen a company take the "Agile" process and misuse it as badly as possible

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop turning a blind eye to the real trouble makers, and hire managers who can actually manage.
