I have been working at DISH full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Dish is the best job I've had. The pay is good and there are benefits. I've made some really good friends working as a Dish tech. Though the environment is professional, techs in our office are very supportive and help each other out. I like working on high tech products and I think Dish has the best home theatre and video systems. Customers are happy to see us because they know we bring the best! Managers, supervisors, and trainers are good though some of them try to micromanage. But since most techs are by ourselves all day we're pretty independent. They occasionally drop by to check on the quality of our installs or when I'm stuck and call for help.

    Cons

Techs don't get to take the vans home. So every day starts by going to the office to pick the van up and ends by dropping it off again. It would be a lot easier if we could take the vans home and it would save the company money.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remove useless lower level managers that just push paper and add to the rules and try to micromanage.
