I hate to agree but everyone was right-it is hard to get promoted if you aren't friends with management!

I worked at DISH full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Momentum is pretty good. Training is alright because it is not consistent and they seem to waste soo much material.

    Cons

It was VERY hard to get promoted unless you were very good friends with management. Example-out of 15 candidates the person who got marketing only had a HS diploma and no experience. The other 14 candidates had either college or masters in marketing. The clear fact that the person who got it was because they were friends with hiring manager. They went out to lunch everyday!! It was clear! no one said anything bc they feared retaliation. That manager and the employee now have a cushy job at DISH. The other hard workers either aren't there anymore or are still struggling to get promoted.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You have no clue what is going on with management. If you were to hire managers who are more capable of running the show -Dish would be so much more better to work for. That's why it is rated worst company. Honestly its not a bad environment if some of management would be recycled. It seems like management is very good to hide things and you take their word for it. At a meeting Exec Management told us to reach out to them ifwe need anything; well we did and got scolded from mid management. If it weren't for the AM's numbers would be worse but they actually care for their jobs and not their immediate direct report. You just don't know! So sorry...
