Current Employee - Engineer in Houston, TX

I have been working at DNV full-time

    Relaxed work environment
    Flexible schedule with personable management
    Limited micromanagement
You can coast through this job for the rest of your life
9/80 work schedule is an option

    Too much overhead and politics
The company reorganizes every year which confuses and stagnates most
Quality has suffered as workforce has lost key personnel
Promotions seem to be based on tenure and the danger of losing people rather than merit-based

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You cannot continue to lose engineers when you are a company that only sells knowledge.
If you have decided to be a corporation instead of a foundation, that is fine, but you must provide incentives to employees or they will leave.

    Negative Outlook
