I have been working at DSM full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Fairly flexible in terms of scheduling. Fairly open communication--most are honest in terms of the current state of affairs once you're in the door and working for them. Good for those who like designing things from scratch. Great for those who are former or aspiring consultants and enjoy working in gray areas the majority of the time. Good opportunity to put your own stamp on things.

    Cons

Very little structure. Not much training. Too much oversight from global HQ in Netherlands. Not enough guidance from management. Need more resources to get aspirations off the ground--trying to do too much with too little. Some may thrive in this type of environment, but it's definitely not for everyone.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more honest during recruiting process. Less structure in place than was initially advertised.
