I have been working at Davis Wright Tremaine full-time for more than 5 years

Excellent pay for "top" performers. Great experience if you're a top performing lawyer.

It's another firm where it's more about who you know than what you know. As long as the stars of knowing the right people and being willing to bully your way forward align, you'll do well. Benefits are average and being a top performer will definitely sour any change at a reasonable work/life balance. Staff, like most large firms, are under appreciated given most attorneys cant even add a printer on their own laptops without a secretary helping them. Big law is slowly going the way of the dinosaur and DWT (like many in big law) never cared to change.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow your employees to review their managers during your review process, and make that review accessible to the next level management - you might be surprised re: how many of your employees are not happy with their managers. Hint: A LOT OF THEM. Also, culture and values should apply to staff as well as attorneys. Sad to know Dave Baca is leaving his role as Managing Partner, always felt he was a great leader while I was there (4+ years).
