    I worked at Dealertrack Technologies full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    flexible hours for non-call center employees, half of your co-workers look like strippers, a good place to get experience and get out, clear chain of command

    Cons

    half your co-workers look like strippers and are hired for thus, you're working in the auto-industry and it is very much a boys club, Mostly gay friendly but employees could use to be educated so less transphobic, the auto industry, upper management does not value employees and treats everyone as if they were in a call center, Dealer Dot Com does not value employees outside of Vermont and they are in charge now, upper management has no idea what half their employees do and only educated themselves when their junk is on the line, will pay you the industry minimums or below and expect you to thank them for it, you will never-ever-ever- transfer out of your department---unless you are about to quit, if you get a better job management will act like you have betrayed her--never mind talented people are passed over for promotions and left with leaving as the only option for advance (This isn't weird,but the "how dare you go" mentality is)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    your upper managers oversees to variable a work force - most of which they are ignorant about, don't treat non-call-center employees like call center employees, improve feeling of opportunity outside of Vermont, transition buyouts in a way that show you care about existing employees, stop acting like your employees owe you for their job-it's a give and take not give
