    I worked at Dean Foods

    Pros

Dean Foods has an extensive network of plants, approximately 75 fluid milk plants. For the upwardly mobile, this offers a good opportunity for advancement if you are willing to relocate. Most of the plants do similar things with various levels of technology used. Some are gigantic facilities and some are quite small so there is good variety for a young career minded person to engage in.

    Cons

The Dairy industry in challenged right now as the price of milk has never been higher which has brought about less than desirable volumes at the various plants. I believe they are about finished with plant consolidations and an applicant should not be concerned about plant closings. Upper management has really choked back the amount of money available for plant upkeep. Once the price of milk drops, this is likely to open up.
