I have been working at Dell full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent salary, slowly moving towards flexible work-schedules. Collaboration is encouraged, if unevenly. You're usually given the financial (in hardware, software) backing to do your job.

    Cons

The bureaucracy reaches ridiculous levels. Promotions are often awarded politically over being awarded on merit. There is a strange tolerance of mediocrity, and it takes forever to get rid of less-than-adequte employees, if you can every get rid of them. High performers often carry the weight of slackers, and become burned out quickly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cut the real dead-weight, regardless of how good they make your diversity stats look. Don't accept buzzwords instead of expertise from your marketing people.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
