I worked at Dell full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

You can make some great contacts here for future opportunities. It is also a great place to work to obtain a diverse amount of project experience.

    Cons

The company direction is going in a place where they are off shoring a lot of their development and qa test work. They aren't giving any bonuses past few years and are also not giving raises. Dell is laying off a lot of people. The upper management is completely disconnected from what is going on and they do not manage their acquisition companies very well. You definitely do not feel as if you are an important part of the organization and you are just one in a sea of many employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider giving your hard working employees at least a cost of living increase and reward the people in your organization that are the ones who are providing good quality to the clients you still have left. Promote and encourage more movement within the organization to retain good quality employees.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
