    Pros

    Great name to have on your resume. Good job right out of school. Good health insurance.

    This is going to be long. I've been with the company almost 5 years, as an associate. When I first joined, I was told I could move into the consulting track at some point. Turns out, this point is when you threaten to leave. Associates are below consultants in the company's hierarchy, yet above the India tech support people. They have developed a caste system, and it's not pleasant for anyone at other than the top tier. As has been said in previous reviews, this is a partnership, so it is very much a conglomeration of megalomaniacs trying to do what's best for *them*. As an associate, you're, disposable chattel. They do little to nothing to inspire moving up within the firm, but make promises day-and-night. After a short time, you'll see the metrics are ridiculous, and if your immediate manager and/or the partner(s) heading up the project need to keep a person in a place because you're more expensive to replace than keep, yep, you're stuck...indefinitely. As someone with 25 years of experience, but who was beaten down by the 2008 collapse, I took this, as house payments need to be made. However, I'm going stale, and will take the first thing which is better than this. Sure, five weeks per year of Personal Time Off sounds great, but y'know what? This is merely deferred overtime compensation. You have to work a minimum of 45 hr/wk to barely break-even on PTO/holidays. If your client is closed, and you're an associate...too bad, you get to make that day up. Annual raises are 2-3%, so inflation, and if promotion is not in the cards, and as an associate, don't expect it to be, you're going to tread water with the economy. Work/life balance is a chant they don't appear to know the meaning of the words contained therein. I've worked a 20 hour day, it wasn't pleasant. Did I get so much as an acknowledgement of this? Nope. 65 hour week? Yeah...so? This is not how a company I previous thought was great should be run. They burn people out, promote managers who have a mediocre, at best, understanding of the English language, resulting in miscommunication which, when pointed out, is met with a "well, you know what I meant", response. No. You said something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than what you said. Get. It. Right. It boils down to, many promises, very little follow-through. If you're fresh outta school, yes, work this place for two years to build your resume, 'cause you're going to see, in short order, unless you have absolutely ZERO life outside of work, it'll burn you out.

    Advice to Management

    Practice what you preach. Quit changing how different tracks are treated. Understand just how much profit the plebe Associates earn for you.
