    Pros

Although it varies by division, there are pockets of the company that are growing with leadership that has stayed on after being acquired by the company who still keep the entrepreneurial feel that creates excitement and a desire to build and generate opportunities for its employees. Some upper management will treat employees like family. Must be self-starter and show willingness to create growth as best you can. Sales people can thrive here whereas G&A can struggle with perception they are more of a cost than an asset.

    Cons

Corporate parent is horrible!!!! They have no interest in the company and are bleeding the company of cash to finance other projects not related to the industry this company has held a leadership position in for so many years. Unrealistic budget targets get set due to need for cash. Reduction in force is expected year after year despite growth potential. Risk taking is non-existant. The company's AP department is a joke. They don't pay their bills and vendors start to refuse to do business with them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Jobs at this company tend to be defined by the desk that you work at. You are assigned a desk and that is it. There is almost no opportunity for advancement or the path is extremely long. It's almost better to quit and reapply for another opening to be considered for another job or promotion or raise. This is definitely not a company that appreciates an advanced education...they could almost care less. The business is a relationship business. If you are a sibling or related to a film studio executive, you have best shot of getting a high level executive position where you don't have to do much - if anything. Meanwhile, pressure to reduce labor cost releases some good people and keeps complete dead weight due to their connections.
