I have been working at Destination Maternity part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Learning experience in retail

    Working with great clients

    Discount is pretty awesome

    Having fun

    Cons

Lots of expectations and changes constantly. Makes it hard to know what they want.

    Not enough training hours

Lots of push to add on.

That stupid Parenting magazine. It's 2014, people don't want that crap.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop forcing that magazine. I sell them very well BUT most people really don't care, or at least, get a better free gift to go with it. I had a much easier time selling it when it was one free issue, then charged the people, than now for some reason.

Give part timers some benefits. It's ridiculous to expect so much of us at part-time but not give us anything in return aside from pay for our busting our butts.
