Current Employee - Accounting Associate in Kissimmee, FL
Current Employee - Accounting Associate in Kissimmee, FL

I have been working at Disney Parks & Resorts as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

Great experience working with a Fortune 500 company. Very nice, intelligent, and optimistic co-workers. The experience here opens up many other doors. Able to get familiar with SAP as well as the many different sub-areas involved in accounting

    Cons

The pay for temporary Accounting Associates is only $11.20/hour. You work 40 hours a week. No real benefits as a temp, can't even go to the park for free like the permanent/salary employees can.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Think about giving the temps at least some sort of benefit rather than just the experience gained in the work field. Maybe a day or two for his/her family to enjoy one of the parks. Anything would be fine to help motivate the temporary worker rather than giving him/her just the tedious tasks that usually take up the senior accounting associates all day to do.
