Great company to work for, not a fan of management

I worked at Disney Store part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I loved the environment - friendly, fun, and magical. I loved making guests happy and i loved being a castmember, however I was NOT a fan of the managers. I'm a very quiet person and keep to myself, but there were managers that somehow decide they don't like a particular cast member and make their lives a living hell - like what happened to me. That being said, there is a lot of favoritism in the store. As much as I loved the store, I had to leave because I could not work with a manager who was always trying to give me a hard time. I loved the perks of knowing about movies and stuff going on within the company before the public did, and our lovely park benefits! Oh, how I miss those days!

    Cons

As mentioned before, the management really sucked. They are what made the store less magical. I understand there were sales goals, and I understand that it was a juggling act between making a guest's experience magical but also trying to make that goal. I tended to opt for making the guests' visit as wonderful as possible so that didn't give me the upper hand in meeting sales goals sometimes. I was great at upselling the reusable bags, though....
