I have been working at Douglas County School District (CO) full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Great kids, families & teachers

    Cons

The current Board of Education has wrecked this district with faux reform. This used to be the best district around. They are now systematically tearing down teachers piece by piece. Class sizes are at their largest ever. Salaries are the lowest in the metro area. The Board has ZERO respect for their teachers and anyone that disagrees with their privatization agenda. Run, don't walk, away from this school district.
