The Pay is Crap, But Great on Resume

    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at E! Entertainment Television

Coworkers are great, that's a big reason you stay as long as you do. The perks of the job can be fun, if seeing famous people and getting access to Hollywood events gets you off. E! isn't as cutthroat as some of the network companies, so layoffs don't come very often. E! looks great on your resume.

Pay is below (far below, in fact) what many competitors pay. Only producer level and above are eligible for bonuses, which is quite unfair as the APs do the exact same work the producers do. They'd rather hire someone from the outside than hire from within.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire from within more, when a job is available, make sure those within the company are aware. Many times the vacant position will pop up online and before you know it you've missed your opportunity. More bonuses for non-producer level employees.
