    Pros

Good pay and benefits, smart people, good technology in products. Lots of room for personal growth assuming you can navigate the internal politics of the organization.

    Cons

Somewhat disjointed org with many acquired companies forming internal groups isolated from each other. Not a real software company - too much emphasis on hardware sales model.

    Advice to Management

Allow software divisions to operate as software companies. Flatten the org and look for ways to encourage and reward innovative behavior. Encourage risk-taking by being more tolerant of failure in developing new solutions
