I have been working at EMC full-time (more than 3 years)Pros
EMC has incredible benefits across the board - better than I've seen or heard of from any company to this point.
Compensation is quite good and competitive.
While I can't speak for all positions and all locations, work-life balance seems to be very good. There are stressful days like with most jobs but I really enjoy the work and typically can leave and live my life.
In Utah there are options for growth and career progression if you're willing to work hard and learn.
The office is full of great people from to top down and bottom up.Cons
It's a big company. While that does provide good job security and some benefits of its own, that also sometimes means there are big company bureaucracies and red tape to go through.
Some days are really stressful and hard as there are a lot of parties involved, a lot of technical intricacies to deal with, etc. Sometimes I leave really mentally tired and worn out.Advice to ManagementAdvice
Not a lot of advice here as I feel things are running quite well. Make sure that you treat employees like the people and professionals they are. While most managers already do that, some get caught up on the numbers they have to meet and forget that we're all people with lives.
Make sure that proper recognition is given when things are done well.RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEO
