    I have been working at EXIGIS


    Free coffee and tea. Casual dress everyday. 401k program. Must be employee for minimum 1 year before you are elegible to participate in the 401k program. Work from home every Friday. All non-managerial employees have formed a "family" in which they can sympathize with and look out for each other's best interest.


    Managers are ineffective at communicating and managing their teams. Work starts at 8, arriving at work 1 minute late will earn you a mark of tardiness and you will receive negative repersussions, likewise for leaving a few minutes early. Non paid lunch. No accolades received for beginning work early or staying late. Punishment management style employed by upper management has serious negative impact on employees. If something goes wrong, all blame is shifted to lower level employees which are then "punished" with meanial tasks and impossible deadlines, often resorting in being forced to stay very late for projects that have little to no impact on company matters and which are often discarded once completed. Poor internal technology infrastructure. Your performance and commitment to the company is measured often by how late you stay, not the quality of the work you complete. Many company policies are old fashioned. Fresh out of college hires are promoted to manage and oversee seasoned employees with more experience. CEO and managers alike give projects with unrealistic deadlines, with little to no knowledge of the technical aspects that go into the project, making it near impossible to have an intelligent conversation with them about it. Customers report bugs that are very frequently brushed under the rug, and forgotten about until customers bring them up again. Customer service often has no answers for unhappy customers due to lack of being in the business loop and bugs never getting fixed. The pay is low. Job descriptions not accurate, employees often tasks with multiple job title functions and running multiple different departments. Recent graduates steer clear. Very stressful, non-welcoming work environment is driving employees out of the company. Very large turn over rate. Very unorganized.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Focus on your core products, your bread and butter, make them perfect, then begin branching out to new ideas. Without a strong foundation, the EXIGIS house will crumble. Start treating your employees less like pawns on a chess board and more like a valuable asset to your company and its future. If this continues, you will have a hard time finding and keeping employees which are the core of your business.
