I have been working at EY full-time (more than a year)Pros
Automatic esteem from peers and others in the business community. Working at a Big 4 firm is like receiving an official stamp of approval.
If you don't like where you're at, they do their best to find a better fit within the company.
Off season can allow for some work/life balance with proper communication.
Can purchase additional days off and with advance notice you actually can take that vacation.Cons
Long hours mostly because of poor organization and processes. The WORST technology EVER. As a staff, I often feel like an overpaid secretary. I venture to guess that it takes an EY staff, depending on ability, 2-10 hours to do what it takes a PWC or Deloitte staff to do in a moment. Do you love filling out forms and excel spreadsheets, talking about stuff and never actually doing very much until you've almost run out of time to do it? If so, this is the place for you!Advice to ManagementAdvice
Change your mindset, change your life!! Up your ante with your technology, make your firm competitive by utilizing technology, and please, please please train your seniors to do their job as MANAGERS!!! If you can do that, you'll truly be a firm worth your weight in gold.RecommendsPositive OutlookNo opinion of CEO
