I have been working at Eaton full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great coworkers, company brand, and tons of potential. Pension plan, company vehicle, and wellness programs were pretty good. Looks good on your resume. People really care for each other on teams as they tend to form small families within the Electrical division.

    Cons

Company promotes itself as a great company to work for as the workers are great people. Management is totally disconnected from reality. Company has recently lost several engineers due to management's lack of understanding and their unwillingness to hire more people. Salaries are very low as workload forever increases. People would quit and not get replaced causing work would pile up. Customers have high expectations due to the Eaton brand and false reporting to shareholders. Don't worry...management pretends they have a grip on this and they are fully committed to making things right. People are complaining daily to HR about managers and their lack of leadership. Nothing has changed and people are very upset.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Wake up and smell the coffee! You have a great workforce begging for quality and swift leadership. The economic conditions have taken a toll on you and Eaton is not living up to it's potential. Compensation should be evaluated when it comes to salaries. If you don't want to hire more people, don't work them more and pay less. Company is begging for better leadership.
