    I worked at Emdeon

    Pros

Co-workers were great and really tried to make a difference. The facility was convenient and well equipped.

    Cons

I saw too many talented people who were so defeated that they were just barely hanging on. Those that were there for a while stopped encouraging new ideas. So sad!!! So many projects to improve were started and never finished. Too many competing products for anyone to concentrate efforts. No one outside Senior management had a clue where the company was going. They sit in their "Executive Wing" thinking of things, but whatever their plan is, it is not taken to the masses. There was no clear vision of how their ideas would affect the worker bees. I was there for a year and had no idea what their plans were. People/departments were laid off without any effort to look for positions within the company to use these dedicated people. Moral was terrible. How do the "Executives" think they will invoke the best in people?

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

We know that you have a plan, vet it out to all involved so your employees know what is going on. Sometimes you don't know what is going on in your company. Ask the worker bees how to improve. Don't let middle management brush off new ideas with the maybe later attitude. You are losing too many talented people. Promote those who know how to change things, rather than keeping people because they are there.
